FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
What does 'Tenkot et Ashura' mean?
Ok, lets split this down:
Tenkot: This is what we call the realm the characters live in.
et: Comes from the latin word for 'of'
Ashura: This is a japanese term, meaning 'fighting demon'
If we rearrange some of hte words and smudge it a little, we will get "Fighting Demons of Tenkot" which is exactly
what we are.
Tenkot? Where's that?
Well.. nowhere really. I made up the name out of thin air and it just seemed to stick. Tenkot isn't really a place physically,
but it's somewhere beyondf reality that we can play the game. If you look right (>>) there should be a link leading
you to the Map room where pictures of Tenkot's grounds are kept.
So, it's like a medievel realm or what?
Well, sorta. Occasionally we might have some references to techonology - Like the labaoratory in Christer's past (See'Characters),
and the fashions that each character sports. We try to keep it medievel-casual; not purely medievel, but getting there.
Wow, so you guys have dragons and elves and stuff like that?
Yeap. To be precise, Tenkot is home to one Elvish villiage, that is not too far from the seaside, and two of our members are
half elves.
As for dragons, two of our members have dragons - Thats Neci-Nox and Phaeton. These were caught in the mountains, where
the European dragons dwell. In the cayonlands however, there is a clan of Wyverns, lead by elder Ryon, and founded by the
great wyrm Gorbash (A great wyrm is a very old and wise dragon). Neci is very fond of this clan and she is good friends with
Gorbash, who calls her Forgaar (Fire-palm in Draglish- dragon tongue converted into pronouncable words).
I keep seeing things around the site about power levels, and power evolutions. What are they? Why do they happen?
Power levels are definate, stable levels at which you have a designated amount of power. Someone who has exceeded two power
levels above another, say, would be at least twice as strong.
Power evolutions are what happen to characters when they reach a certain power level. This usually begins with a great
release of power due to a great struggle, or an emotional outburst that can trigger wild power fluxations, and your regular
or pre-evolved form cannot handle the amount of power beging generated - so you begin to change physically..
For more information on Power evolution, visit the 'Training' part of the site.
I've heard that there is a power evolution beyond Kairiki, and one even farther beyond that! Is this true?
What?! I don't know WHAT you're talking about, I've never even heard of Eriito and Ikkado before! >.>
I've been having a look around, and I seem to find alot of references to DragonBall Z on the site - Is it really that important?
Yeap! Alot of our inspiration comes from DragonBall Z and at lengths, DragonBall GT. Alot of my pictures, and jordan's, are
based upon and draw influence from DBZ. Our power evolutions mimic the Super Saiyan transformations, and we often use attack
styles similar to those used on the show.
Also, many of our ethics concerning energy (Ki) and life/death follow examples in DBZ.
I'm sorry to say - but with little or no DBZ knowledge, you could really get lost in how things work in Tenkot et AShura.
