Auroku- Phantom

Appearance: A petite field nymph, Auroku is 5’4 with a slight frame and large violet eyes. She’s timid and easily frightened by the slightest things yet still manages to pull through as best she can. Her naturally violet hair is always held back with a white ribbon and a single flower always sits in the bow – a trinket of her past she does not wish to let go. Her appearance is strange of her race, as many nymphs have natural tones in their hair and eyes.

As her nature would suggest, Auroku never personally used animal fur or leather to make her clothes, and preferred to weave her own fabric from plant fibers. However, since meeting Ira Deorum, she has been donated tougher clothes made for battle (though she wears her own garments for leisure). She prefers to wear baggy, black hakama tucked neatly into knee-high boots and a fairly snug, long-sleeved top with numerous slices down the sides to show the white body suit beneath it, which would seem, is Auroku’s replacement for armor.

Brief History: Nymphs are creatures of the gods, put upon the earth to give it beauty and life, even thought to have been created before humans and elves. Auroku was born in the field, where her ancestors, beautiful nymphs of the grassland, lived in peace. She grew up happily among her mother and sisters, but as she came of age her body became pale, while her sisters remained tanned. Her eyes and hair turned bright violet, sending waves of rumor among her people. One day when chased by a wild boar, she found herself just moving through trees and bushes without a scratch. Scared and confused, she ran to her mother, who explained to her that her father was a cruel demon, who raped her. Dealing with this was hard enough, but when she actually tried to use her powers, she was exiled from her family, and sent to live away from the field, in the world of men.

Having the appearance of a small child, she was often abused by passers by in villages she traveled to. No man or woman she came across treated her as anything more than a beggar girl, and she was hit and told to go. Nymphs are kind and generous, and she was not used to these feelings of rejection, which began to take a toll on her psyche. She realized that she had no choice but to find a place of her own, and so she made her way across the kingdom, living as a nomad, until she would be able to find a permanent home…

Abilities: Phantom's abilties are unlike any others. In her normal form, auroku is solid, nad has to concentrate to become translucent, so that thigns can go through her. When she morphs, she is completely translucent naturally, and has to focus and concentrate energy to make parts of her body solid, so that she can hit opponents, or pick things up. Auroku can also shoot energy blasts from her hands, which are very powerful, as they are pure Ki and not a mixture like the others.

Other abilities include temporary mind-mel;ding - allowing Auroku to read the thoughts ofany one she touches. Later power levels will let her merge completely with any person, and manipulate their voice and body. In time, Auroku will be able to learn how to soul snatch, and how to gather energy from dead spirits
